Gourmet specialty coffee is considered some of the best coffee in the world. It is the finest, and typically the most expensive. The gourmet specialty coffees that are most loved and well known are also very region-specific, meaning they are grown in only certain parts of the world.

One very popular gourmet specialty coffee, is Kona coffee. Kona coffee is grown in a mountainous region of Hawaii. The balmy days of sunny morning, light mist in the afternoon, and very mild soil climates are perfect for growing this type of coffee.

Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is also grown in a mountainous region; however, it is a region in Jamaica. This tropical environment is also perfect for growing delicious gourmet specialty coffee. The result is a coffee that is perfect on the palate with delicious body and virtually no bitterness.

Kopi Luwak is the considered the world’s most expensive coffee! It is harvest from the feces of the Asian Palm Civet, which is a rodent-type animal, and sells for hundreds of dollars per pound.

When thinking about what is the best gourmet coffee, I believe it is one of three coffees: Kona Coffee, Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee or Kopi Luwak coffee. These coffees are the rarest and most expensive of coffees, hence they are considered the best gourmet coffee.

Kona Coffee hails from the coast of Kona Hawaii. It is grown in a beautiful tropical environment and is known for a delicious taste and wonderful aromas!

Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is grown in a tropical environment as well. The Blue Mountain range of Jamaica is perfect with the sunny days, misty afternoons, and perfect soil temperatures. The resulting coffee is rich and delicious, and known to be some of the best in the world.

Kopi Luwak, is the world’s rarest and most expensive coffee. The Asian Palm Civet eats the coffee and digests it. Once the coffee has passed through the digestive system of the rodent-type animal it is harvested from the feces of the animal. It is known to be a delicious cup of coffee sans any bitterness.

If you are a true coffee-lover you may want to try some of the best gourmet coffee the world has to offer!

There is nothing more wonderful than receiving a beautiful gift basket on holidays such as Christmas and Birthdays, and my favorite baskets are the edible ones! Big baskets filled with sweet treats and my favorite thing, gourmet coffee!

Coffee gourmet gift baskets are a wonderful gift. The possibilities of what to include in these baskets are endless! Some great basket stuffers that you could include would be:

coffee gift card

1 lb ground gourmet coffee

1 lb coffee beans

coffee grinder

flavored syrups

coffee cups

espresso set

tea set

fancy coffee pot

chocolates

biscotti

sweet treats

chocolate covered espresso beans

K Cups for those who use one-cup coffee makers

non dairy creamers

Of course what you want to put in the basket it totally up to you! You can make it as big or as little as you’d like. For really special baskets you could include the more expensive gourmet coffees such as Kona coffee or Kopi Luwak.

What is the top gourmet coffee? That is a hard question to answer! It is hard to answer, because taste is so subjective. Some people prefer light roasts, such as a cinnamon roast, with notes that are not soft and subtle. Other people, like myself, prefer a heavier roast with robust and intense notes. Therefore, finding the “top gourmet coffee” is truly up to your palate!

When thinking about top gourmet coffee some coffees come to mind, such as Kona Coffee, Kopi Luwak & Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. These are considered some of the top coffees because they are grown in small regions, a longer process to cultivate and more rare than most coffees.

Personally, my top gourmet coffee is Obsidian coffee. It has notes of bittersweet dark chocolate and tart berries. This is at the top of my gourmet coffee list! What is your favorite gourmet coffee?

Finding gourmet coffee is as simple as a click of a button. If you look online for “gourmet specialty coffee” in no time you will find hundreds, if not thousands of gourmet offerings! Full body beans, delicious blends, and flavored selections are readily available.

Some of the most expense specialty gourmet coffees include: Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, Kona coffee and Kopi Luwak.

Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is grown in Jamaica and provides a well balanced and full bodied coffee. It is grown in only a small region; therefore, it can get quite expensive.

Kona is grown in Hawaii and comes in a different variety of roasts and grades. There are many “Kona Blends” on the market; however, these are not the real thing. When looking for Kona – make sure it is 100% Kona.

Kopi Luwak is coffee that has been passed by a Asian Palm Civet and is the world’s most expensive and elusive specialty gourmet coffee! Yes, this is coffee that has been passed through a rodent, however, it is said to be the most delicious coffee with no bitterness!

Specialty gourmet coffee is specifically made for when you want a delicious gourmet treat! Personally, as it is so affordable and readily available these days, I think my everyday, run-of-the-mill coffee, should be specialty gourmet coffee. Of course, it may cost a bit more, so that is not an option for everyone. However, when entertaining or having visitors come over, I believe a beautiful specialty gourmet coffee is a must!

Finding gourmet coffee is as simple as a click of a button. Many wonderful coffee purveyors have made fresh beans and blends available for purchase online. Also, gourmet coffee shops are popping up all over town these days. I find there is one within a couple miles of me at all times.

Some of the most expense specialty gourmet coffees include: Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, Kona coffee and Kopi Luwak.
Regardless of what coffee you choose, it should be one you love. For some a simple, flavored blend with a light roast is the only way to go. For others it is a dark roast with intense and robust flavors. The most important thing about enjoying and purchasing specialty gourmet coffee – is choosing one you love!

But on those occasions when you want to relax and savour your brew, a nice specialty gourmet coffee is a must.

Finding gourmet coffee can be a challenge if you don’t live in a large urban area that has some fine food stores you can go browsing in. Thankfully, many quality coffee suppliers have gone online and you can now order beans from anywhere in the world.

These days, you can order your coffee beans from any of the famous coffee-growing regions around the globe with just a phone call or a click of your mouse. If you’re not sure what to choose from the huge selection out there, here is a quick run-down on some of the finer regions that you should sample from.

Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is some of the most exclusive in the world, and usually the most expensive to buy. The region is small, but the high Caribbean mountain area has the perfect climate from growing coffee. Blue Mountain coffee is known for its very smooth and mild flavour, with none of the bitterness that you can find in some blends.

The next spot you might want to try would be Hawaii. There are several different regions for coffee in Hawaii, but the best would be Kona coffee. Kona coffee is grown on the slopes of either Mount Hualalai or Mauna Loa on the big island of Hawaii. Coffee from Kona is also smooth, though with a stronger flavour than Blue Mountain. There is a bit of spiciness to it as well.

When buying a regional gourmet coffee, be careful of any that are labeled as a blend. You can end up buying a bag of beans containing only 10% from that region. That doesn’t make it bad coffee, but you shouldn’t be paying high prices for coffee that is made up of mostly cheaper beans.
